One of my aims when launching Cribbs & Co. in 2019, was to be as environmentally friendly as possible. I always try to find new ways to reduce our impact on the planet while providing fantastic value and unique clothing. I didn’t want to compromise on the look of our packaging. We offer lovely, eco-friendly packaging that makes your purchases the perfect gift.
We ship orders in cardboard boxes made from recycled materials, which are fully recyclable. We match the size of the box to the order to avoid excess packaging.
Packages are sealed with eco-friendly craft paper tape. No trees are cut down to make this tape. The tape is fully recyclable.
All of our packing boxes are lined with PH-neutral white tissue paper. Made from 99% recycled pulp fibres. Tissue paper is fully recyclable.
To keep all your tiny and not so tiny baby clothes safe in transit, we fold each item carefully and place it inside our compostable garment bags. This offers an extra level of protection as your items travel through the post.
As an e-commerce site, we conduct everything online and do not operate any brick and mortar stores. This still has an impact on the environment. We do everything we can to make the impact of doing business as small as possible.
Our website is carbon neutral. We achieve this by planting trees with Tree Nation. We have a simple and straightforward, one product = one tree. For every product purchased through our website Cribbs & Co. plants a tree with Tree Nation. You can visit our forest here. This combined with our eco-friendly packaging help to limit any adverse affects on the environment.
As a small business in Edinburgh, we buy our stock and packaging from other small UK businesses wherever possible. This cuts down on our Carbon footprint for the delivery of goods as well as supports other UK businesses.
We only purchase the below items from UK businesses.
We purchase ready-made stock from small UK wholesalers, with the exception of Itty Bitty Baby Company stock. Itty Bitty Baby Company is a small business in Canada that specialise in premature baby clothing and have the same ethics as Cribbs & Co. Itty Bitty Baby Company offer lovely quality clothing in beautiful designs that you just can’t buy anywhere else.
