Who are the Lullaby Trust?

The Lullaby Trust started in 1971 and was called The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID). Working with health care professionals and the department of health to reduce the number of sudden infant deaths. Raising awareness of sudden infant death syndrome and how to reduce the risks. The Lullaby Trust also funds research and provides support to bereaved families.

Anne Diamond teamed up with the charity in 1991 along with the department of health to launch a national multimedia campaign, Back to Sleep. 25 years following the Back to Sleep campaign the number of sudden infant deaths has decreased by 79%. The Lullaby Trust continues to work to lower the rate even further.
